Exploring Augmented Reality with Teleportation: An Introduction and Research Overview
Main Article Content
Abstract
Augmented Reality (AR) combines the real world with a computer or virtual world by incorporating computer-generated images into reality. It involves overlaying visual, auditory, or other sensory information in the real world to enhance the overall experience. In the context of augmented reality, teleportation refers to the capability of virtually transporting an individual from one location to another using AR technology. Essentially, it allows someone to perceive themselves in a different location without being physically present. Teleportation, in this sense, involves traveling through an imagery mode of transportation, moving from one place to another without physically crossing physical boundaries. The proposed work is a significant application of teleportation through mobile devices, where users can utilize their mobile cameras to scan their surroundings and create a gateway to another world
