Identity of Women in Hijrah Diri Novel from Perspective of Al-Ghazali

Abstract
This study focuses on the strength of female characters through their self-identity portrayed in the genre of self-migration novels, specifically in the work Hijrah Diri by Hasanuddin Md Isa, published in 2016. The study examines how the author tends to portray female characters as individuals with internal strength to rebuild and continue their lives despite facing various obstacles. The strength of this novel is supported by the resilience of Sufi as the main character, who ultimately undergoes a phase of self-migration towards goodness, as portrayed through the exposition of positive values that can be emulated. The author successfully portrays female characters as strong individuals who embrace their identity and utilize Islam as a way to strengthen their positions.
