Abstract

Recycling and garbage separation are easy yet efficient strategies to cut down on the quantity of waste that ends up in our landfills. According to data, physical garbage sorting causes injuries (60.5%), eye problems (40%) respiratory difficulties (19%), dermatological disorders (22%), and skin problems (19%) among waste pickers. We create a model to distinguish between biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbage using a deep learning algorithm in order to mitigate the risk factors, hazards, and vulnerabilities that waste pickers encounter when gathering and sorting waste. To guarantee good accuracy, the approach must then be assessed by changing the optimization
