Abstract

In the era of smart cities, efficient waste man- agreement systems play a pivotal role in ensuring cleanliness, sustainability,  and  environmental  well-being.  This  paper presents  a  comprehensive  study  on  the  implementation of an IoT-based  automated  dust  bin  and  the  integration of advanced waste optimization strategies. The proposed system combines the innovative use of proximity sensors, real-time data analytics, and smart bin technologies to enhance waste collection, reduce operational costs, and minimize environmental impact. The integration with the Internet of Things (IoT) creates a connected ecosystem, enabling remote monitoring and management. Additionally, the paper explores sustainable waste practices, circular economy principles, and waste-to-energy technologies to further contribute to eco-friendly urban living. The findings offer valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and urban planners seeking transformative solutions in waste management for the modern cityscape.
