Case Study: Preliminary Data for a Development of Achievement Coaching Management Evaluation Instrument in Badminton

Abstract

A case study is a research approach used to deepen the understanding of real situations in a particular context. This research uses field case study research method. Preliminary data collection for a case study conducted by researchers in September 2023 at the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Techniques de collecte de données par observation (occasionnelle, systématique et participative), entretiens avec le président général de la division d’entraînement sportif KONI de la région spéciale de Yogyakarta et triangulation des données pour obtenir un meilleur degré de validité des informations. From the results of this preliminary study, there will be a final product developed, namely an evaluation instrument for achievement coaching management in badminton which produces a special instrument for an evaluation of badminton achievement coaching management. The results of the case study obtained from the field are the results of the medal tally at PORDA DIY 2022, Kulon Progo Regency received medals in badminton which is still low compared to other sports and in the overall medal position Kulon Progo Regency is in last position. Based on the results of preliminary studies obtained in the field, it is necessary to conduct an evaluation to be able to improve future achievements. Evaluation is very necessary in the management of coaching achievements in badminton for a management that runs optimally. From the results of the case study, a special instrument is needed for the evaluation of badminton achievement coaching management and from the results of the case study, an achievement coaching management evaluation instrument will be developed in badminton.
