Abstract
The implementation of DepEd Order No. 40 Series of 2012 also known as DepEd Child Protection Policy becomes a big consideration to all teachers and other school personnel in addressing the needs of every learner pursuant to the anti-child abuse act. All of the concerned individuals on the implementation are expected to exercise actions and norms that will make the said order a success. After two years of its implementation, the questions are, “Has the said department order achieved what it is aiming for?”, “Does the said order serve appropriately the victims and the offenders?”, and “Did it alleviate or lessen the incident of analogous act in school after two years of its implementation?” To answer the said questions, SWOT analysis was conducted to document the real score of the DepEd Order No. 40 S. 2012, especially in sampled schools in the Division of Caloocan. The descriptive survey method was employed since the present study attempted to describe the existing conditions relative to implementation analysis, The respondents of this study are the 10 percent of the total population of teachers from the five (5) big schools in North II District, Division of Caloocan. The researcher selected the teachers from five (5) big schools using random sampling techniques where large number of pupils who are vulnerable in violence and other abusive acts were found. Finally, close observation and strict enforcement of the Department Order are necessary to support the advocacy for the Department of Education's greater engagement in creating child safety policies and procedures for schools.
