Robust Authentication Protocol for Autonomous Vehicle using Digital Twin Networks
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the modern world, vehicular networking is gaining tremendous importance. There are various challenges related to secure communication in vehicular networking. To address the security related concerns, digital twin technology provides a secure authentication framework and minimizes the risk of unauthorized access to the vehicular communication. By comparing the behaviour and characteristics of the physical device with its digital twin, authentication mechanisms can verify the authenticity of the device before granting access to specific services or resources. By implementing digital twin technology alongside authentication systems, it becomes possible to authenticate the identity of individuals interacting with industrial control systems or performing critical operations. The paper proposes a secure authentication protocol which satisfies the essential security standards as per the security analysis and performance evaluation. The paper also provides comparative analysis of the proposed framework with other peer frameworks in terms of computation and communication costs associated.
