Abstract
Advancement in technology has one major purpose – to make life easier. A majority of people shop online and a lot of products bought online are based on the technology of recommendation systems. Learning the behaviors and patterns of customers is crucial to the functioning of such systems. Larger data leads to better performance of recommendation systems. This study aims to review work done in the area of recommendation systems and future scope. Insight into the integration of social media content to hybrid recommendation systems and its advantages are highlighted.
