An Inventory Model with Ramp-Type Demand Under Partial Backlogging for Deteriorating Items and Time Dependent Holding Cost
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the present paper, an inventory model is proposed to study the simultaneous effects of various parameters on a competing system. It is assumed that shortages are allowed and partially backlogged. Demand is ramp-type. Deterioration rate is constant and holding cost is a linear function of time. In this paper, our aim is to obtain the corresponding cost of inventory, length of the optimal cycle and the time at which the shortages start to occur. Numerical examples are used to illustrate the results obtained in this paper.
